Our website and apps use Optimizely, a web analysis service from Optimizely, Inc., 631 Howard Street, Suite 100 San Francisco, CA 94105 (“Optimizely”). reCaptcha

In order to protect our websites against spam, in certain cases we use the reCAPTCHA service from Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). This allows us to determine if an entry has been made by a person or by automated software engaging in abusive activities. When you use reCAPTCHA, your IP-Address and other data required to make this service available is sent to Google. For this information the Data Protection regulations of Google Inc. apply, which may differ from those of Springer Nature.

YouTube

We use the YouTube service in order to play videos directly from our website. This processing is based on Article 6 sec. 1 sent. 1 lit. f GDPR and represents our legitimate interest to improve your website experience and to optimise our services.

Your browser will directly communicate with YouTube LLC, whose principal place of business is at 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, United States. Vimeo

We use the embeddable video player from Vimeo, Inc. to play video content on our website. The vimeo player uses first-party cookies that are considered essential to the video player experience. No third-party analytics or advertising cookies are set when the video player appears on our site, unless (i) the website visitor is logged in to their Vimeo account and (ii) the user who embedded the video has not implemented the DNT Parameter.

You may also submit information through a form within Vimeo’s embeddable video player. This information will be received by both Vimeo and the video owner and is subject to both Vimeo’s Privacy Policy as well as the Springer Healthcare’s privacy notice. Except where Vimeo is the video owner, Vimeo will not use any information you submit through such forms for direct marketing purposes.
